This is forest climbing bamboo. I’m not sure whether that’s its actual name or just what it does, but it’s fabulous!

See how the leaves are curled at the ends? Those leaves are constantly reaching out for something to grab hold of. When a leaf is successful, it determines where the whole plant goes from there. Unsuccessful leaves just kind of die. The leaves in the photo? Those have failed…
