And he pretty much nailed it. A lot of my safari guests still think that elephants use their trunk much like a straw – water goes up – goes to stomach. But indeed they use their trunks to rather ‘shovel’ the water into their mouths. They can’t drink with their noses any more than we can. You can try it, but it won’t go well.
So who remembers this totally classic safari moment?
