The Adobe® LiveCycle® Reader® Extensions ES3 activates functionality within Adobe Reader software (version 7
and later), enabling end users to save data locally, add and save annotations, apply digital signatures, and
dynamically embed data in a barcode, and integrate with web services for PDF forms and documents.
LiveCycle PDF Generator
The Adobe LiveCycle PDF Generator is server-based software that automates the creation, assembly, and
manipulation of PDF documents. Specifically, it enables the conversion of industry-standard file formats to PDF,
automates the assembly of customized document packages, and supports the automatic generation of PDF/A,
offering the highest level of conformance to the ISO archiving standard.

Summary: The NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) Enterprise License Management Team (ELMT) portfolio
includes the Agency enterprise license agreement (ELA) for Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extension 10 Server and
LiveCycle PDF Generator 10 platinum maintenance and support.
Per NPD 1420.1, when Adobe products are used to create forms; Center-wide form design must be coordinated
through the Center Forms Managers and NASA/Agency-wide form design must be coordinated through the
NASA Forms Officer.
The Adobe PDF generator is currently operating in a pilot mode. Guidance for Agency-wide access/use is being
developed and will be released during the first quarter of FY13.
License Term: One Year
Award Date: August 24, 2012
