JOIN US FOR AN ADVENTURE THIS JUNE
WITH “BICYCLING WITH BUTTERFLIES”
Sara Dykman made history when she became the first
person to bicycle alongside monarch butterflies on their
storied annual migration—a round-trip adventure that
included three countries and more than 10,000 miles.
Equally remarkable, she did it solo, on a bike cobbled
together from used parts. Her book “Bicycling with
Butterflies: My 10,201-Mile Journey Following the
Monarch Migration” tells the fascinating story.
To celebrate Butterfly Awareness Month in June 2024,
we are airing a special reading of “Bicycling with
Butterflies.” This is a collaboration of audio information
services from across the country, with each chapter
presented by a partner reading service, from Texas to
Massachusetts, as we follow along with Sara’s journey
and the route of the butterfly migration.
