-Upward Bound (CSUF):
Upward Bound is seeking energetic, qualified applicants to tutor high school students in Math,
English, science, and foreign language courses and advised students on academics, college
prep courses, and assist them in the college application process for target schools in the city of
Santa Ana: Century, Santa Ana, Saddleback and Valley High School. (Fall, Spring and Summer
programs available but you must apply early).

-Orange County Youth Shelter: City of La Habra
Interns will work directly with a teacher at John Muir Charter School, our alternative charter
school which is housed onsite at the OC Youth Center. Interns will learn about and be trained in:
mentoring and tutoring students individually or in small groups during school hours, assist the
teacher in a variety of tasks big and small (i.e. project facilitation, fieldtrip and event planning,
program development). Intern hours from 8-2 (2-6 hour increments for best experience).

-Grandma’s House of Hope Community Program
Interns will tutor children at our HopeWorks! Education and Enrichment Center, for low-income
families. Interns will work one-on-one or in small groups with children/youth ages 6+, and
sometimes be involved with parent activities. Afterschool programs take place in the afternoons
M-F; a minimum of two afternoons per week are required for interns.
