To be considered for a scholarship, a personal essay is required. Essays must be typed on a separate sheet of paper
and attached to your application submission. Your essay can include as much information as needed but must be
at least a paragraph.
Please note: There are no right or wrong answers. Essays are not evaluated by a rubric. Your essay is a way for the
Dual Enrollment Office to you learn more about who you are as a person and as a student. Please structure your
essay around the themes listed below.
1. Describe your personal goals, and how a degree from Embry-Riddle might have a positive impact towards
helping you to achieve those goals.
2. Tell us about your academic and personal achievements. Mention those areas that would not be reflected
on your academic transcript(s) or a resume.
3. What are you most passionate about in life? How has that passion driven you to be the person you are
today?

submission of this application in no way guarantees that you will be awarded a Dual Enrollment Scholarship.
