Max and Paul are just trying to keep their architecture company afloat, but they accidentally
hired the mob to build a police retirement home. They may never get the project done in this
screwball comedy, but they are most definitely building madness.

A Big Thank You to our
Pay-What-You-Choose Sponsor!
What a pleasure it is to welcome you to the theater
for an outing of fun and laughter. The last few years
have been challenging to say the least and if you
are like me, you are probably feeling a continued
sense of fatigue. I hope that today brings you a
reprieve from it all and that you leave feeling joy and
rejuvenation.
Most often, my Director’s Notes will dive into how the
play you are about to see touches on deeper themes
of humanity: relationships, love, loss, spirituality, soci-
ety. Not so much with this show. With Ken Ludwig’s
Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, we are put-
ting headier ideas aside for the time being and bring-
ing in some good ‘ole fashioned fun. We are leaning
into a much lighter experience at the theater, and we
have been eagerly anticipating your arrival.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s “The Hound of the Basker-
villes” revived both the famous detective Sherlock
Holmes and the mysteries. Holmes was killed off in
the previous short story, “The Final Problem,” but due
to overwhelming public demand for more, Doyle dove
back in and wrote “The Hound of the Baskervilles” to
satisfy his loyal fans. Since 1902, we have enjoyed
“Hound” as the superlative Sherlock mystery.
Ken Ludwig has taken “The Hound of the Baskervilles”
and turned it inside out and upside down in Baskerville.
Ludwig transforms Doyle’s famous mystery into an all-
out comedic theatrical adventure full of humor, horror,
and stage magic as Sherlock Holmes and his trusty
sidekick Dr. Watson face their most puzzling and
dangerous case yet. Set in the early 1900s, the iconic
Holmes and Watson must crack the mystery of “The
Hound of Baskervilles” before a family curse dooms
its latest heir. Our brilliant investigators must unravel
clue after clue as they travel throughout London and
the English countryside meeting a vibrant and colorful
array of characters.
One of the most challenging yet rewarding requirements
of the production was the creation of over 40 different
characters from a cast of five. It was a very complex
process which required a great amount of exploration,
discovery, playing, and vulnerability on everyone’s
part. My favorite element about the style of Baskerville
is that we do not need to hide anything we are doing.
We switch characters and scenes right in front of the
audience. This is part of the magic and humor of this
production: the opportunity to witness the actors
switch in and out of our story elements instantaneously.
For us (and hopefully you) it’s pure fun!
– Director Corey McDaniel

man and Proctor, and old time radio. This led to a pas-
sion for using sound to tell stories. From a 1993 puppet
show adaptation of King Lear in the Star Wars universe,
through over a hundred and thirty other productions,
Keith has had the pleasure of getting to work with the
exceptional designers, actors, and directors here at Har-
