IS SHRED DAY IN FORT WORTH!
Starting in September, everyday will be shred day in Fort
Worth. Secure shred carts have been installed at all four
of the city’s Drop-Off Stations providing you a location to
bring your items for free shredding.
Residents of Fort Worth can bring up to three boxes
(Letter/Legal SizeDimensions: 15”L x 12”W x 10”H)
per visit and up to six boxes every 30 days of personal,
sensitive documents to be securely shredded.

Secure Document Shredding is Now Available at
All 4 City Of Fort Worth Drop-Off Stations!
Fort Worth homeowners and some renters may now bring
documents to be shredded to all 4 of the
City of Fort Worth’s Drop-Off Stations. Just show a
recent Fort Worth water bill or current driver’s license
with a Fort Worth address and have an active sanitation
account. In partnership with Tarrant County, each
drop-off station will have secure shred carts for residents
to deposit their condential documents for shredding.
This shred program will be available year round.
WHAT KINDS OF PAPER CAN I BRING?
Sensitive papers that carry your Social Security number,
birth date, signature, account numbers, passwords or
PIN numbers. These include: old tax information, old bills,
dated bank statements, credit card statements, old checks,
le folders, medical records, identication, contracts &
other business documents. Please note you do not need to
remove staples or paperclips.
All paper collected at the Drop-Off Stations is
transferred to the Tarrant County Secure Document
Destruction Facility for shredding and recycling
by Tarrant County. Unfortunately due to logistics,
witnessing is not allowed. If document destruction
witnessing is required then we ask that you please
contact a company that allows for the witness of
document destruction.

When possible sign up for electronic billing &
statements
Print only necessary pages versus the whole document
Reduce junk mail - Contact senders to remove you from
their mailing list
Use a service to help reduce unwanted mail such as:

THE YEAR:
Fort Worth Drop-Off Stations: accept the following
recyclable items from Fort Worth residents:
Electronics – all computer equipment and up to two
televisions every 6 months
Tires (up to 4 every six months)
Plastic grocery bags
All household recyclables such as cardboard, paper,
bottles and cans
Scrap metal/re extinguishers
Environmental Collection Center: accepts light bulbs,
batteries and more
Fort Worth Goodwill: accepts all electronics, televisions
and household items
Most Grocery Stores: accepts clean, dry plastic bags and
plastic overwrap such as found over cases of water and
other bulk items

WHAT IS NOT ACCEPTED:
Metal clips, binders, CDs, DVDs, oppy disks, photos,
credit cards, plastic of any kind. No documents with
name and address only, these should be recycled.
IS THERE A LIMIT ON HOW MUCH I CAN BRING?:
Yes. Residents are limited to 3 boxes per visit and
up to 6 boxes every 30 days.
